State nomination provides a pathway to permanent residency for international graduates of South Australia.
State nomination is not a visa application; it assists you in meeting the requirements for an Australian visa. If nominated, you must lodge a visa application with the Department of Home Affairs who are responsible for the assessing and granting of all visas.
By applying for state nomination as an international graduate of South Australia, you will benefit from:
- Access to a more extensive occupation list.
- Additional points towards the Federal points test for the 190-Skilled Nominated visa and the 491-Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa.
- More flexible state nomination requirements for international graduates of South Australia.
- Priority application processing with the Department of Home Affairs.
Graduates who have completed their studies in South Australia could be eligible for an additional five to ten extra points towards the Department of Home Affairs points test for Regional and Australian Study. Find out more here.
See the interstate graduates table to see whether you qualify.
To check whether you meet all requirements for state nomination, see the skilled nomination requirements and the international graduates of South Australia page.
